4 died in a mosque shooting in Oman
4 people have died in firing near a mosque in Oman. Many people have been injured there. The shooting took place near Wadi Al-Kabir Mosque in Oman’s capital Muscat on Tuesday morning. According to Al Jazeera, a religious program related to Shias was taking place in the mosque.
Oman’s police have said that all necessary steps have been taken to increase security in the area. At present, information about who carried out the attack has not been revealed. Many videos related to the attack are going viral on social media. According to the video, there was chaos in the mosque as soon as the firing started. People took shelter in the nearby Imam Ali Mosque.
According to Al Jazeera, some Pakistani citizens were also injured in the attack. Pakistan’s ambassador also reached the hospital and met him. The US Embassy in Muscat has advised its citizens to remain alert.
Oman is called the middleman of the Middle East. He often works to make treaties and maintain balance between countries in situations of tension. In Oman, the crime rate is extremely low. Usually such attacks do not happen here.
