Former US President Donald Trump has been shot. Despite being shot, he is safe, according to international news agencies.
In the pictures of the scene, Trump’s blood flowed from his forehead to his cheek. The security team took him to the hospital from there.
Trump was shot while holding an election rally in Butler County, Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
According to eyewitnesses, he was shot with a rifle from about 300 yards away. In that sequence, many gunshots were heard.
President Joe Biden condemned the attack on Trump. Biden was in Delaware when Trump was shot. Responding to the media while leaving the church, Biden condemned the attack on Trump.
Calling on all Americans to unite and condemn such attacks, he said, “There is no place for such violence in America.” Biden also said that he was happy to learn that Trump is safe and in good health.
According to the BBC, the person who shot at Trump was shot dead by the security personnel. Another civilian also died in that incident.
US Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi informed about the incident and said that Trump is completely safe and the suspected gunman who attacked him was killed in a security operation. US officials said they are investigating the attack.
At the election rally, after Trump spoke for about five minutes, it was heard that something exploded. When the shooting started, there was an uproar in the crowd. Trump was surrounded by security personnel for a few seconds and got off the stage.
